Who is Stephen A. Smith?

Used to have a show on ESPN, "Quite Frankly", but it tanked, and they took it off. Now has a timeslot on ESPN radio.

He's loud and obnoxious, and his opinions are awful.

OP: why you hating on them? I know Steven A is from Hollis queens (not sure on stuart scott). I'm shocked that ESPN lets them say half the things they say on air. They've put some "flavor" into sportscasting and what happened? all the white sportscasters started following suit. Why? because its COOL not only to them but to the public. Sports are hip, so should the sportscasters. I don't think hip is a black or white thing either, its being able to relate to your audience. If your audience uses slang, movie & music references, etc., then you as a sportscaster should too

I'd rather the sportscasters relay the scores. That is why I get my news from Bloomberg. That is New York as well.
