ok, everything i need so far, i can get at circuit city EXCEPT a 1-ohm stable amp for my dual 2-ohm 12" kicker cvr.

can someone tell me which one will work because it doesnt seem to carry anything that is 1-ohm stable. im trying to make a one stop shop and save money on gas since i live in new orleans and everything is far apart for now.

heres the amps they have http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Amplifiers/sem/rpsm/catOid/-13095/N/20013088+20015481+20013095+390/link/ref/rpem/ccd/categorylist.do

i would, but i wana make a one stop shop. any other suggestions?

If you run that Kicker CVR in series, it will be 4 ohms, and then you can buy an amp that puts out the power you're looking for at 4 ohms instead of 1 ohm.

I've looked and you arent going to find a 1 ohm stable mono amp at Circuit City.

if your buying from circiut city the only amp worth its price there is the sony xm9001. it says 550 @ 4 ohms. that will give you a little head room so you dont have to crank the gains to get some decent output. but honestly you will waste a lot of money doing that then you would buying off here or ebay. sure you got to wait a week but your getting your money's worth. circiut city's stuff in the end, the resail value of those arent that great. and for that matter buying anything from circiut city you wont get half what you paid if you wanted to upgrade. so in other words buy something that has a good resale value in case of upgrading again later. think of the gas money and all the other money you save. circiut city something for 300 you can get here or on ebay for half that just about. just something to think about

i dun really understand that sorry, if someone can explain in words it would be great
Wow. Using words to describe it would be more confusing than an actual diagram. You should/need to research and read a bit more before going out and wasting your cash in crap audio products.

Basically the diagram shows you the two ways that you can wire up your sub to produce a certain ohm load. You have a 2-ohm DVC sub. Your choices of ohm output are 1 and 4 ohm load. You use that to match it with a amplifier.

And +1 on what everybody already said...don't purchase a amp from circuit city. I personally like Phoenix Gold amps.

And again, read/research a lot more before you waste your money.

series is connecting positive to negative in a series ie. one path... and getting something shipped to you is better than a one stop shop, it's a no stop and sit on your *** shop //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
