Which amp with one Kicker S12L7?

Im looking to get an amp around $200 to power one Kicker S12L7 well. My friend has a cheap JBL 300.1 amp he can let me use. Will that be a good choice or is that insufficient to power that sub? What amps do you guys recommend?

I was also considering the Kicker SX500.2, 600.1, and 400.1

Will these works sufficiently?

I would go with the KX 600.1 from your list. Another idea is and DX700. All are good amps but you will want at least 600 if not the full 750w to get the L7's up to par....

It depends what kind of L7 u got ? 2 ohm's or 4 ohm's please check !

then u could get some opinions.

i'm not satisfied @ all w/ mine on 500w.. that's why i got 1000 waiting to go in :veryhappy:

hopefully going to wire up the jeep tonight.... it sucks that PPI has dual 4 awg power, and dual 4 ground.. but i like PPI, so it's all good.

kx was my 1st choice, but i heard a setup today that had 3 of the new L7's and 2 kx 1200.1's strapped. DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

was so unbelieveably loud, nearly as loud as my buddies 2x 15" L7's in a 12 cube ported box. and they were sealed.. Wish i had some pics of the install, my cousin's shop did it.. 3x optima Yeller Tops, 0 ga everywhere, and a custom mdf/glass box.. all in the back of an older body style grand cherokee.. god that was an awesome install.. subs sounded really friggen good too (hit DEEEP).

sooo.. basically imo you don't need more than 1kw on 12L7, id prolly go w/ 1500 on a 15... but 1000 is just about perfect for the 12.
