Which Amp To Drive The Kicker CompVT 08CVT654 ?

Hiya, folks,

I am looking to add just a little "thump" to my existing system. Since I am cramped for space in my '72 Chevy pickup I am looking to getting one of the Kicker Comp VT 6 1/2" subs. Since it is a free air design I was simply going to mount it on a piece of MDF with open ends and stuff it under the seat. My current system consists of a Sony HU (with 4v pre-outs) feeding an Alpine MRV-F540 amp and powering 2 Pioneer 6 1/2 3-ways in the kickpanels and a pair of Polk Momo 6 x 9's. It is a clean sounding system but I want just a little sub to add some definition. There is no room for any type of sub enclosure so I am relegated to adding a shallow mount setup.

What amp (wattage) do you recommend to drive this speaker??

Thanx,

Bud Weaver
