Which amp is more efficient?

I am getting a build together and I need to decide between two amps. Powerbass xta 5000d or the I.A. 40.1? I see the powerbass is rated at 5000rms@1 @ 14.4v and the 40.1 is rated at 3600rms@1 @ 12 volts. I hear the 40.1 is very underrated.. Which is the best pick? They will both be similarly price, the 40.1 being slightly more money..

they are reasonably "beast" but they can't touch the beastiness of the IA
