Which amp for AB XFL-1544

I have an American Bass XFL-1544 wired at 2 ohms in a 4 cuft box ported @ 32hz. I currently have an old Alpine mrp-m1000 and want to upgrade a bit. Needs to be around $300 or less. Here are the amps I am considering:

1. Sundown audio S.I.A-1750D. rated at 1750 RMS but did 2187 certified Dyno on their Facebook.

2. Taramps MD-1800.1 2 ohm. Rated at 1800 RMS but did 2476 certified at Williston audio labs

3. Audio Apex CAB-22. Rated at 1500 RMS. 1562 on Dyno

Taramps smart3 was suggested but that seems like a lot of power to give this sub. It's rated 1000rms and 2000max

I also looked at Wolfram O-2400 but couldn't find much on it.

Any information, advice or suggestions is appreciated

Wouldn't upgrade. Most of those amps you listed do good 1 ohm power but you have to wire at 2 ohm on your sub (XFL you have is dual 4 ohm) which means they won't offer much if any upgrade over the m1000 (m1000 use to dyno 1200-1350 range which is high for a 2ohm load).

If you wanted more power i'd look at creating more power. My money would go towards an aftermarket alternator if you haven't already (there's a good chance your not even getting half power on your current amp if your running stock alternator)

If I were to do it it would be the SIA 1750 or the Cab-22. I have a Cab-22 and like it at 1 ohm. For a half bridge it is clean and doesn't run hot or mine at least doesn't. Also have a SIA 3500 as well and I like it as well.

The SIA1750 wouldn't be much of an upgrade @ 2 ohms. I would suggest the SIA3500. It will give you plenty of headroom and enough power if you want to run two subs in the future.

According to what I have read I thought the sia-1750 did the same at one and 2 ohm.

I think it's more like 1,500. I was running an MD3K to an ABHD15d2 and it sounded great. I don't think that you will even notice a difference with the SIA1750.

Amps don't work like that. You can give as much or little power as you want.

Not only that you can go buy a 3k amp but if your alternator only has 40 available amps of power to feed your system then is doesn't matter if you have a 600 watt amp or 3k amp
