which alternator to go woth?

so my 2 choices are a db electrical alternator for $229 or a 300 amp alt for $439 from iraggi.i know the iraggi is a better alternator and has more amps but is it worth $200 more.im gonna be running bout 5,000 watts and with the db electrical i could afford a battery and the alt right now.any help is appreciated guys.its not for competition just driving so idle doesnt matter on them,and how many deka 9a31s would i need for about 4000-5000

why don't you just invest in more batteries for now? all you have to do is put it on trickle charge at night.

wait for the pro's but in my opinion go with the DB Alt. unless you plan to upgrade your system soon. as far as batterys one in the front and 1-2 in the back should cover you well.

You didn't say how many amps the DB alt is...

Its a 220 amp Both do about the same at idle will there be a big enough difference between the two alternaters to spend the extra two hundred dollars.

i called excessive amperage i believe they wanted like $500 as well for a 220 amp.i decided on a mechman they got an alt for my truck on sale and cant pass it up its a 270 and 160 at idle.now just gotta decide on batteries
