I'm probably going to use these for rear fill with Focal 165K2P 6.5" for front stage...

FOCAL. I've compared the Boston Z6 to the Focal Access (low end) and had people pick the Focal over Boston. Although everybody is a little different and everybody has their own preferences to sound. If you can listen to both and make your decision that way. Bring in your own cds and everything. That way you know closer to what your music will sound like in your vehicle. As you can see I'm a big advocate of Focal, but it is also the brand used by more of the SQ cars than just about any other. If you look at the people that placed in the top 3 at World Finals, a majority of the product is Focal.

Check out some boston pro's. Prices are pretty decent on ebay. I dnt like the sound of focal much, but thats just my opinion. To bright.

Oh man funniest thing I've heard all day. People have chose the Focal Access line over the Boston Z6 line!!!!!!!!! OMG you have got to be kidding me. I gurantee you that is the biggest lie I have ever heard or your friends are ****in' morons! I like Focals and the only Focal line that even Compares the the Bostons is the 165K2Ps....I'll give ya the BE line is better but Dude thats bullshit sayin' that the Access line even remotley sounds better then the Z6's.

A) Either you completley **** at installing products Which I'm guessin' you don't because your sig says your a finalist but eh I don't know

B) You were running them off of a very small amount of power

But of the two you have chosen I would still take the Focals...They are very nice speakers....but if ya wanted like the guy said above lookin' into the Boston Pro60's which will sound a lot better then both of your choices!

Yea I dont know about the access being better than the z6, but if you're going to go for real fills, just get the cheaper one. Either set will suffice for rear fill anyways.

From what I can tell the reasoning for them saying this is due to the midrange fill. Focal has a much more pronounced midrange fill than the Bostons due, and the main complaint about the Z6 was the sound of the tweeters. There was a strong metallic sound to the tweets which is understandable based on the material. Once again you must remember that people have their own preference on speakers and also speakers will sound better with different types of music playing.
