If you look at the top songs from the late 1960s, you see The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Monkees, Frank Sinatra, The Doors, etc. Bands with real talent and great tunes.

if you look at the top songs from the 2000s, you see your favorite songs like "Yeah!" "Lean Back" "Candy Shop" "Hollaback Girl" "Hips don't lie" and "Promiscuous Girl"

Seriously. Those are the dumbest fuckin songs ever. Pop music now BLOWS. HARD. What happened to talent in music? Why do we have to go in search for good music now? Why do DJs insist on spewing crappy music over the airwaves? Why do people actually buy this ****-*** music? I can't believe people actually think that pop music is good. I can't keep the top 40 station on for more than 10 minutes.

english pls?

dont listen to the radio?
I don't. I've had to over the past few days, though, and holy hell the music sucks.

**** the radio. Its all about finding the good music out there. The radio plays some ****** shit sometimes also.
I've found some great music, but there ain't a chance in hell I'll be hearing it on the radio. Ever.

Its all about getting that quick dollar with a one hit wonder and getting paid from ringtones.

I listened to hiphop all my life and am 28 yrs old. I found myself dl'ing a bunch of oldies from the 50's-70's, and some from the 80's-90's lately. And also listening to more rock.

Its pretty simple really........The talent is there but conglomorate babyboomer record companies dont want to invest in the developement of new groups/bands....

They go for the quick hit $$$ and send the artist packing...

The older bands you mentioned were all developed over time and allowed to grow as artists..

Today only a small handfull are allowed to develop.....

Its a joke really,I have not bought or bothered to listen to new music in years........
