Where to upload vids?

I have tried putfile but everytime i try and upload a vid nothing happends the page just sits and will eventually after about 15min will say page not found. the video is only 8.5Mb what are some other places i can use to upload vids

Ok did some research and heres what i found for other in the same boat as me

I haven't used this one myself yet, so I can't give any feedback from personal experience but I must say it looks professional and others have used it with success and recommend it. It offers a big 250MB per file upload limit for free, and for a paid account you get a huge 2GB limit per file. Their sharing system works in the same way as YouSendIt, in which you provide the email address and they send you the link. It is a bit different though, in that they give you the option to send the link to your friends, or to yourself. Sending it to your friend will give them the download link. Send it to yourself and you recieve the download link, plus a link that can be used to delete the file from their servers. It also seems that there is no limit to the amount of times each file can be downloaded.

Massive web space available here with YSI. No sign up required, just a simple browse for the file you want to share, enter an email address and upload. The downside is that the file is limited to only 20 downloads, or the link dies after 7 days, which ever comes first. Good option for the larger files though.

Note: If anyone is using this and wondering what to use as the email address, use your own. The link will be sent to your own email address, which you can then share with your friends or on forums.

Then there's the free hosts we've all heard of, the one's scattered with adverts. I'm going to put these all in the same catagory, because to me they are all basically the same service with different names.

Personally i would not touch any of these sites. They provide perfectly good webspace (about 20 MB worth) but with many limitations. The main limitation stopping me from ever going near one of these hosts is the restriction of direct linking. For use on forums, direct linking is almost crucial. Who wants to go to a seperate site and locate another link just to download a video when you can click a direct link in the forums and get the file? These sites also scatter your website with advertisements, and usually pop ups. We are all annoyed by these things I'm sure.

I've tried to list the most popular free web servers available at the moment, hopefully I've been helpful to most of you people asking the ever so popular question "where can I host my video file?". If none of these free hosts meets your needs, you can try the following search site, but in my opinion the chance of finding a good reliable permanent host for more than 50 MB is very small;
