Where to put center channel?

I'm trying to decide on where to mount a center channel setup in my '04 Explorer. I was planning to go with a set of Boston Pro60s, or maybe Pro50s, put side by side in a panel on top of my dash. Ater installing the W200 this weekend, I came to the conclusion that there would not be enough room with that big head unit in there. That's fine by me anyway, as I was dreading having to put holes in the top of my dash, and who knows what issues I would have to deal with by having the sound firing up and reflecting off of the windshield.

I want this to be fairly high up in my front stage, dead center, and as stealth as possible. Using a full set of components is not a must at all. I am at work right now so I don't have great pics of my dash, but here is a glance at what I'm working with. Any ideas?

Bright one, aren't ya? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

sorry the question was pretty dim. I mean, duh...its a center channel, fire it off the glass like everyone else.

Dim? lol

Did you even read my post? There's no room to sink it, and I'd love to avoid cutting a hole. I'm thinking of doing some kind of pod, but I want to keep it as clean as possible. Just looking for other ideas.

u could run it below your a/c controls but that couldnt be a good idea...i dunno man..u most likely will have to go hack at shit like he said,,or u could make a custom pod and put it on top of the dash above your headunit but that might look jig or cool

put it in your home theatre.

does your headunit support full 5.1 surround?

do you have a dedicated line for all the speakers including rear speakers?

i would fab some small 2" fullrange drivers behind the airvents if the above criteria were met.

I've already got that covered. This is for my vehicle. I thought you might have gathered that from my original post. Heck, there was even a picture. lol

Yes. W200+H701.

do you have a dedicated line for all the speakers including rear speakers?
Yes. Believe me, I know how 5.1 works.

I'll check that out. I just don't want to block the path of air. I need my AC to operate to its full potential during the summer.

Ya, I think you're right. I'm afraid I'm still going to have to make some kind of pod, because there is very little room under the top of my dash, so the speaker(s) won't sit flush.

Has anyone used any of the mids with the motor on top, where the cone is? The shop I go to has some, but none are hooked up, and I haven't heard any feedback on them.
