I heard you can get mdf at lowes and home depot so is that right? and how much will it cost around to build a 2.5 cu ft tuned to 35hz? any help would be good. and ive also heard they will cut it for you. does that cost extra or just tip yhem or what? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sick.gif.b1847c8dabbfeeddbcf1a78052249e10.gif

thanks so does it come in big sheets? yeah and i have a box specs from REs website for an SX12. it tells depth15", width36", height 13.5",port width 3", port length 11.5", port height 12" ,and the peice that connects to the port on the inside 24"( i dont know what its called). so i think i have every thing. its all shown on a diagrahm. http://www.reaudio.com

most places charge about $20 for a sheet of 4ftx8ft MDF and what i like to do is bring them my boxplans and they charge me about $5 to cut all the peices for me so i go home and assemble

i wouldn't trust them for box cutting, most of the time they're only accurate within 1/8" or so...not good enough for box building, good enough for shelving maybe.

i love being able to throw 4x8 sheets in back...i hate having my workshop 200 miles away...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I usually did my own cutting, but find someone at lowes or home depot that gets it cut right everytime and you're set. I found a guy at Lowes that reset their wall saw to get the exact cut every time.

I've always gotten it at Lowe's and just had them make 2 big rips...generally rectangular boxes consist of two different dimensions that are held throughout the elclosure. Then I just cut those to get the second dimension of each piece if that makes sense.

$18.84 for a sheet here.

if they cut it wrong, make them do it agian... .for free...

or give you 2 free sheets of the MDF, one to replace the first one, and one for your troubles.
