Where to get glassing supplies locally?

I think Lowes has resin, glass mat, and MEKP.... But not 100% sure. Pretty sure I saw it last time I was there though. Do they for sure?

Or are there any other places that have it that dont charge an arm and a leg. Dont want to spend a ton or buy a bunch, just bored and looking to make some pods or something. Never glassed anything completely on my own, and want to give it a shot. I did alot of work on my doors and they were fun, but I want to see what kind of stuff I can plan and build on my own.

So where to buy it?

home depot and lowes generally only sell bondo brand products and you really should not use their fg stuff. the resin has wax in it, which is great for a final layer but not building. you will have to sand the entire surface after each layer drys so that the next layer has something to adhere to, sort of like wetsanding between coats of paint.

the only places i have ever found locally with decent materials are boat stores. i have found them to be more expensive on resin but cheaper on mat as they sell it in bulk not pre-packaged mounts. aside from the you can order online from u.s. composites (if you do buy the b440 resin) or some other retailer.

if you want to ever order anything off line look @ this place.

There matting is cheaper then HD or lowes, & you have a choice to use a heavier matting as well.

There resin isnt that cheap, but if you are going to be doing Carbon Fiber you can find surf board resin.

Just bought some stuff from Lowes. We will see how it goes. Thinking of making some pods for my computer and running a cheap component set on my computer.

Got all the mat, resin, brushes, etc. Just need to get some body filler when I get them to that point so I can bodywork them.

for filling use a layer of duraglass first, possibly second (and maybe even third). after that use rage gold. i have tried many filler products and found this combination to be the best. don't forget to scrape during the green stage.
