where to get 6x8 to ??? bracets

i have an expedition with the sucky 6x8/5x7 wutever speakers and speaker mounts in them. im looking for a circular replacment what size would fit and where would i get a mounting bracket for it, thanks.

Nearest hardwhare store, and get 1/4" plywood. Make your own if you have the tools.

yeah try crutchfield. i thought i saw some over there at one time....but they are lible to be rather expensive for just scrap metal.

you could easily fit 6.5" speakers in the 6x8 spot, and 5.25" speakers in the 5x7 spot.

Try crutchfield for some adapter plates.

i would just make them, like i did in my mustang. i actually had a 7" driver down there. had to do a little cutting though.

im probobly gonna get a set of jl audio speakers, any sugg of which ones, i dont want to go over 120 bucks a peice

when i installed my MBQs i couldnt for the life of me find a 6x9 to 6.5 adapter plate, so i had to glass 1 up

Buy a rotozip and make your own, + new tools = good.

i would go with the pioneer tsd 170r (the rev series, yellow cones). those will smoke the JL coaxials. if you want something with a lot of midbass, i would go with the zapco iforce speakers. those will both be in your price range.
