well i made a topic a while back ago about somebody breaking into my car, but only stole the faceplate off my pioneer p860mp.

i've been riding around with my system hooked to my stock hu, and the p860mp is still hooked up to my car not being used for couple of months now. I can't seem to find any good deals on a faceplate for it, they're never on ebay either.

i've searched the web but everyplace was asking close to $200-300 for a faceplate for it. I only paid $260 used for it.

anybody know where i can get a faceplate for a reasonable price?

Thanks!

I know you've probably done this but have you talked to Pioneer? If it's still under warranty I don't see why you'd have to pay much

Because faceplate theft/loss isn't covered under warranty.............

Sadly, the faceplates are the most expensive part to replace. If you tried to sell a head unit without the faceplate you usually can't get more than $40 for it.

There is one site where I know you can buy faceplates, but they aren't that cheap.I can't even think of the site right now.

That should be covered under your insurance, just the same as if the whole HU was stolen. Unless you don't have full coverage insurance.

Most insurance companies I know of will cover the theft of an aftermarket HU (or part of it, like the faceplate) as long as it was installed in the OEM radio location.

mine covered my seats that got vandalized, and my faceplate, and my highs amp, that was in it's stock location : )

Pretty pointless to raise your insurance alittle bit for that claim imo. Especially if you have a $200+ deductible.

Best bet is to go ebay prolly.

lol...i have a $500 deductable with AAA full coverage. I've only seen one faceplate for the p860mp on ebay for the past 5 months, and i was outbidded at $160. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
