Clarion VRX755VD SQ?

I am considering upgrading to the Clarion VRX755VD to replace my DXZ855MP. I am wondering if the VRX755VD will have the same or better sound quality as the DXZ855MP. I am not sure what the pre-outs are on the VRX755VD, but the DXZ855MP has 4volt preouts. I want to have better ipod control and the DXZ855MP just plain sucks at ipod control. So will I be sacraficing my sound quality by getting the VRX755VD? Thanks
