Where the hell do you buy recone kits from?

Ok so I called RE Audio and they told me I'd have to call my local dealer so I did. The guy at the store was a complete idiot and said that it is impossible to "recone" a sub. So now I'm forced to look to you guys for an answer. I'm wanting to recone a 15" RE SE D4. Also, if I do recone it will it still have the same specs or will some of them change?

the se i believe has a recone that RE sells (but i could be wrong)...just tell them that the dealer doesnt know anything of the such and they will make you a recone and ship it to you.

call them back and when they tell you to call the 'dealer', let them know what your 'dealer' said.

just got off the phone with RE...you have to know how to talk to Manufacturers to get what you want.

Call and talk to Mark in an hour and he will let you know everything you need to know.

This is why DD is my company of choice..Called them and had to take 2 pictures of the sub and gave them my CC info and the recone was made next day(as i called as they were about to close obviously after techs left)

Not bad mouthing TeamPSI but personally I would wait for this whole thing to blow over with him. As for now you can try Fi, or haunz may be able to help you. If you call RE and tell them the dealer told you it was impossible to recone a sub they may work with you. First thing you have to do when you get a recone is walk into your dealer holding the recone and just say "Your a dumbass, maybe you should quit"

See they told me at first I had to take the sub to the dealer with my original reciept and they would mail it to RE and RE would then call the dealer and tell them how much it was going to cost to repair it. I then told the guy I talked to that I do not have a reciept then they told me they could not help me. This has seriously turned me away from buying RE ever again. If a company isn't willing to work with an individual then why should I spend my money on their product when there are so many other companies that would be willing to work with me?
