**(sorry for my english i'm french)

Hi , I'm new to car audio and i have 2 amplificators ( 1 for all speakers, 1 for sub ) and i would like to know where I have to put my capacitor. I have a wire running form my battery to my trunk and splitting in two ( I make a ¨Y¨ in the wire for bring the 12V to my both amp). Is the capacitor need to be before the ¨Y¨ or after the ¨Y¨ and only use it for the sub amplificator ? What is the best ??

Thanks !

thread made me chuckle...you should get rid of that capacitor and buy another battery and do the big 3 upgrade..p.s. its amplifier

If you choose to use a capacitor..I recommend placing it inline of the power supply of the subwoofer amplifier off of a Dist. block/2way.Other than that.. I suggest that you take the cap back for a refund, sell it, or dispose of it,as it is pointless/useless in most cases for car audio. It is best to put a small battery in its place for power needed,as caps have proven not to perform as specified. They look nice, but are pretty much useless. But if you wish to keep it,I recommend putting it in line for the subwoofer amplifier, and do purchase a 2/way fused distribution block for about -15 dollars or so.You may even just be able to just upgrade your battery under the hood as well???And do the big 3??Either/or,without having to purchase the High out put alternator??

can i use this in my sig

"with-in 18" of the batt" ???? that would be the inline fuse. when you eva seen a cap under the hood of a car or under the dash? i see how that could be a decent idea, less distance for the current to travel and recharge the cap but then again that would just leave more distance from the cap to the amplifier... i'd listen to audiobaun- caps are really kinda worthless, your better off doing the big 3 upgrade, then moving to a larger alt and second battery.

Best advice in this entire thread...
