Where is 4000 hz?

I'm using a 4 channel Hifonics amp to run only super tweeters. I'm trying to figure out on the high pass dial where 4000hz is? The tweeters are Rockford Pp4-t and the response is 4000hz-20,000hz. That is a 2 channel amp below, but the high pass is the same on the 4 channel. I'm also wondering what the slope should be? My radio has -18,-12, and -6db to choose from.

Anyone have any idea where 4000hz is on the high pass dial?

Yep, tones might be necessary. You might also try starting from the fully clockwise 15k mark and going counterclockwise until you begin introducing a 4k tone. This will put you in the ballpark. From there, you can tweak it until you get a good blend with your midbass for your tastes. Level between the tweeter and midbass is obviously important.

I appreciate the help, but I guess I'll do it the old fashion way. I don't have a dmm, but will try the test tones. The 8" mid is supposed to play from 80hz to 5000hz.

It will play it sure. It won't play over 2k very well. Above that you won't have any dispersion and it will get raspy.
