Where/How to get recone kit for Kicker Solo X OR Get a new sub/subs?

As you know i blew my 12inch kicker solo x.

I THOUGHT i could get the recone kit for $125 shipped.

It came the time to get it and my dude wants $279. I only paid $225 for the sub itself to begin

with so i figure it's a waste of $$$ to re-cone when i could get something just as loud for the same price.

Question is does anyone know where i can get a recone for my solo x cheaper? Do i gotta

call kicker or what? I looked on here,ebay,and google and youtube and it didn't help for ****!

If i can't get it i think i'm gonna go with a 12 or 15in RE XXX sub if they still make them.

Any other subwoofer i could get that's 2000W or louder RMS that i could get for $300 or less mention in this thread please cuz i haven't been in the newer world of car audio since 2009 so im rusty.

I still got a 1700w Hifonics brutus amp and just got a new kenwood HU cuz my x990 finally took a poop... but it lasted 8yrs so i can't complain.

I do plan to upgrade my amp to a kicker 2000w in the future but not til i know what i'll be getting.

I heard that Kicker stopped selling SPAIR kits for the SoloX There's a guy on SMD that machines out the motors and builds them up as round, and I expect others can do the same, but again you're looking at far more than the original cost of the recone kit.

Keep an eye on the classifieds section here. IMO you stole that sub if you got it for 250 in hand and you'll be hard pressed to find something comparable for that money (shipped at least).

yea i dont like the sub but for 250 i do lol... i would just keep looking around for a recone, or find someone who can get square recones for them and build them

Yeah. Even in 2007 i got 2 10inch Solo Xs brand new for $325 a piece. Sheits whack mannnn.

Go with an hdc4 for the price id think its worth it i paid 325 for my 18 brand new im not gettin rid of it 5k it laughs and wants more
