Where does Kicker rank in quality, SQ and durability when it comes to subs? Many years ago when they were made in the USA, they were considered top notch. What about today? The L7, L5, CVX or solo classic woofer line.

its hard to say. there are so many companies out there, everyone is close. kicker is in the top, for sure, but there is better for the money out there as well. i've heard that the solobaric series takes power, but sounds horrible. have limited experience w/ them, so i don't know all that much. hope it helps

Kicker sounds like shit, but it's good.

Kicker is below JL Audio for sure.

not really though. There are MANY brands i would pick over kicker. The only thing i look to kicker for is their CVR's are a good bang for the buck driver, but thats in a scenario where im trying to build a stereo for as cheap as possible.

ive had a kx400.1 , a zx750.1 and just sold my kx550.3. NEVER had a problem with any of them. the 400.1 was bought used. will do rated power , they offer the 550.3 (great amp btw) , and have good CS.

that can also be said about other brands, but i have nothing negative to say about kicker amps.

The one thing I hate about kicker amps is you can't run them at 1 ohm. (don't know if any of them do but most of them).

I would never run their subs. I like the hyperflex though, ha.

I'm not too big on most of their woofer lineup exluding the X. Those X's get pretty loud. But Kicker does make some awesome amps.. And wire I guess.

inefficient..... i would recommend TREO memphis and fosgate(depending on line) over kicker. i would say that the kicker comps are pretty good subs for the cost as they are like $40 ea but thats only if your on a budget

I'm pretty happy with my CVXs. I got them through accomidations when I still had a job at Circuit City. I wouldn't have paid $400 each for them, but at the price I paid, something like $120 each, I'd say they're awesome subs.
