Where do you mount your crossovers?

if you plan to go active eventually, run them by the amps, that way you already have all the wiring back where you need it when the time comes.
If I do, It wouldn't be in this truck. I feel it wouldn't be worth the effort. If I get a weekend driver like I plan too after this winter, that will get the full treatment.

Install them on the door

Good luck fitting xovers for a nice component set in the door...

Not to mention the moisture and **** in the door...

And the jarring from opening and closing the doors. Ive never liked mounting xovers in doors.

Ya I had a shop mount mine in the doors. When it came to uninstalling them. The crossover feet were broken and **** only thing holding it on was a zip tie. Must have been from all the flex in the door cause my doors flex like hell.

Yeah, I'm thinking for now I'm going to cushion them some how, and just put them in my front map pocket. Not really enough room under the dash, and don't feel like running that much wire from teh amp rack.

I mounted mine in the doors.

It worked out very well, mine is protected by moisture and vibration, and is only supported by gravity.

My door panels have a recess in them that acts kinda like a pocket.

I put my xovers in a plastic bag taped it shut. I then hollowed out some thick packing foam and stuffed them in there. Shoved them in the panel and snapped it back on.

Worked out quite well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
