Where do you mount your amps?

I wouldn't mount my amps sideways. They are supposed to be mounted flat. They have heatsinks inside and by mounting them sideways the heat would have to travel through the whole heatsink. Just my opinion.

making an amp rack as we speak. laying a board down, mounting the box back as far as it can go,and having the 2 amps in front of the box, by like 5 inches. on the side, its got vertical pieces of wood glued in that makes stoarage compartments on each side of the trunk. all carpetted, and wires hidden

in an amp rack or the back of the seat. You just need to watch out for overheating issues if your pushing your system or your amp's cooling system is not efficient

I have my 4-channel amp on the back of one of my seats. And my mono amp is on a custom amp rack I made, it's a triangular thing with an opening at the bottom for the cables to run through. My amp is humongous and I wanted to be able to get my spare tired out, so I had to design the rack to only use 7 inches of floor space. I think it turned out very nicely.

If I could, thats where I would mount them.

Some amps dont fit there unfortunately.

My old Zapco is too thick to clear my seat mechanism, and my 2300f US Acoustics is 20" long.

Amp rack is the only way.
