Where did you learn how to install car audio?

trial and error. dont expect to get it perfect the first time. that bcae1.com site is great for learning about how everything works. however nothing will teach you more than when you rip off that 1st pannel.

basically dove right into it, reading on the internet. then i learned a whole lot more reading stuff on this site and a couple others.

I learned the basics from this guy that lived around the corner from me. THen I learned how to do it correctly through trial and error. Mostly error. You can pick up a lot of things from here too. They are right about some things (like caps) even though it may seem like they're being a dick about it. I saw someone mention crutchfield which has some decent tutorials as well. I'd youtube it too. I saw some nice how to's there too.

By blowing shit up and doing step by step in the back of a 91 grand prix that was afriend of mine's.

Actually, I sat in on three or four installs at a local shop that liked me - actually got them to allow me to help on an install, and went from there.

Trial and error did a lot for me, I've blown a few things up myself back in the day :)

my bro had a car audio shop when i was young, i would fallow him around and he taught me allot.

graduated from High School and went off to R.I.T.O.P. School for Mobile Electronics. in Boston MA. Graduated in the top 5 out of 35 people. got my MECP Certification. and been installing for the last 5 year's but over 8 years total experence

been working at car audio shops for the last 6 years.

learned by myself. was interested growing up , but really got into it months before i joined this forum. besides all the sarcasm and bullshit that goes on here , there is alot of GOOD information.
