Squeak - I'm not taking sides here as I simply do not care if people have ads in their postings signatures or not. It won't affect me one way or the other if they stay or if they go....that decision is ultimately up to the mod team of which you are a part and Goob.

Having said that ~ can you genuinely not see Dave's point? He isn't the only one doing it yet he seemingly is the only one catching static for it.

Like I said - keep the ads or ban them makes no difference to me. But I am curious (as I am a nosy cuss at times) to see why if it is, in fact, a rules violation why others aren't being sanctioned for it as well?

I, and other mods, send PM's as we come across them. I, apparently, have not happened to see any recently other than lemans.

If someone PM's me asking if it's alright, I always reply that no, it is not. And they, like the good users they are, understand this and do not add such items to their sigs.

Noticed that Jalverson's sig, where it says website removed by request of Mod? That wasn't me...but the same deal. A mod apparently requested it be removed, and he removed it. That simple. Nothing complicated here.

Lemans, unfortunately, does not seem to understand this.

That is right there in the Edit Sig function. And I verified with the Admin yesterday that this does, indeed, include advertisements for box plans/box building/cut sheets/etc.

And BTW...I didn't just start deleting his posts out of the blue. I sent Lemans 3 PM's yesterday, none of which he responded to. And then he starts complaining about how I didn't try to discuss the issue with him? Seriously.
