Where could I find the service manual for the MTX Thunder 4160?

most do, in time. just e-mail them. otherwise, being a 4channel, you have 3 more good mirror channels to ge the resistor value. probalem is- you need to find out what blew the resistors for sure. could just be the cap, or something, but if not, then it oculd just happen again, and possibly take more out.

So how do I know what caused the blow? I do suspected the cap as when I work with car transmission computers, it's usually the cap that cause the resistors to blow.

OK guys, I got a question on the cap. The cap markings says 330uF 16W 16V. I have never seen a cap that has a wattage rating on it? Could some one tell me if I just use a 330uF 16V cap on it, would it work?

Thanks.

OK everyone,

I got some info back for the amp from MTX. In case it could help some one. My question here is the R319 - MBM087 RESISTOR MF 221 1/4W 1%, is it 221 Ohm or 221k Ohm? Also the R60 - MBM105 RESISTOR MF 976 1/4W 1%, is it 976 Ohm or 976K Ohm? I could only find 976K Ohm and for the other I could find both 221 Ohm and 221K Ohm, so which one would they be? MTX could not clarify this as they said that what I listed below is in their data base and they don't repair the old amps any more.

R319 - MBM087 RESISTOR MF 221 1/4W 1%

Q15 - MDT002 TRANSISTOR PNP MPSA56 TO-92 T/

R59 - MBM005 RESISTOR MF 20.0K 1/4W 1%

R60 - MBM105 RESISTOR MF 976 1/4W 1%

R24 - MBD002 RESISTOR MO 0.1 2W 5%

FET1 - MDF001 MOSFET N CHANNEL BUZ11 TO220

FET5 - MDF009 MOSFET N CHANNEL 60N06 TO 220A

FET6 - MDF009 MOSFET N CHANNEL 60N06 TO 220A

FET2 - MDF001 MOSFET N CHANNEL BUZ11 TO220

FET4 - MDF001 MOSFET N CHANNEL BUZ11 TO220

FET7 - MDF001 MOSFET N CHANNEL BUZ11 TO220

FET10 - MDF001 MOSFET N CHANNEL BUZ11 TO220

R11 - MBC061 RESISTOR CF 62 1/4W 5% FLAMEPR

R12 - MBM008 RESISTOR MF 274 1/4W 1%

not sure what you are unclear on. they stated right there: "R319 - MBM087 RESISTOR MF 221 1/4W 1%" which is a 221ohm 1/4watt metal film resistor that is 1% accurate.. did you happen to get an actual schematic of the amp? they are much easier to understand with only designation and dicription. you would find "r319" in the circuit, and it would simply be printed

"R139

221(ohm)1/4w"

if you do happen to get it, shoot me a pm. i would like to have it on file.
