Ok so i've called carter, and they say they can't do it...is there anywhere else?

have you tried a local automotive repair shop yet? a starter rebuild shop/alternator/battery shop?

yes, the place i've mainly been referred to, and no luck

you should use your google search for an alt place within a fair driving distance...in most cases,you will find a few within a 50 mile radious..its gonna cost you to send one off to get repaired,with shipping expenses,and will not get what your money could if bought new..try find one within driving distance,make some calls..
