Where can I get info on how to do a install for a mazda prot 99 dx....

[99DX 10+ year member]

This will be my first non speaker install and I just want to make sure I do it right.

Its a multi amp install

a 4 channel to the front and rear deck and a 2 channel in mono4 to the subs.

I need it from start to finish basically. I had crutchfield send me thier booklet yesterday....

Any good web sites or books/mags?

Dude... make sure you run your cables opposite of one another. In other words run power cables on one side and your rca's and speaker cables on the other. Make sure your ground is as clean as possible. Remove any paint and scrap the surface until it is shiny. This will keep out ground noise.

Put a fuse no further then 18 inches from your battery on you power cable.

Use atleast 8 gauge cable for your power and ground.

Since you are monoing the subs... double up your speaker cable if it is then and cheap. Use 2 strands together to make 1 speaker lead. Or go buy the thick stuff.
