haha a box that doesnt have a design on it.. basically i dont wanna pay five dollars for a little box because it had some brand name or store name on it.

It's acceptable to give a gift in a shipping box. Just wrap the box with some holiday paper, sticky a bow on it and yer set. That's what I do, at least. I don't like wrapping odd-shaped presents, so most of them get a box from my stash in the garage.

I wouldn't do that for clothes or stuff out of original packaging. I use a box mainly to make a funky shaped package square for easier wrapping (and to fool someone trying to figure out what it is). I guess a hat would be ok too, but it would be pretty red neck to, for example, pack a loose sweater in an Alpine head unit box *lol* -- actually, maybe not, come to think of it. People wrap up blue jeans and T-shirts without a box all the time. I guess it just depends. *heh*

My wife is one of the world's best guessers of presents so I get more and more creative every year. She kinda' expects the wrong box for everything she gets now.
