My mom and extremely close grandmother to my 3 year old son is going into serious surgery tomorrow at 7:30am Mountain time.
She has been quite sick for most of my life, having lost both of her kidneys and living on dialysis, since she was around my current age. This surgery is to correct some serious physical problems but the doctors and surgeons all agree that they will "probably find more to work on" while they're in there.
It's not so much the surgery that we're concerned about, but the recovery because she also has 2 artificial heart valves and requires blood-thinning agents to KEEP her blood from clotting for her survival, which could also result in problems recovering from serious surgery. The heart trouble happened several years ago when she literally was clinically dead in the ER -- code blue, suffering from massive blood infection and pneumonia.
We're all extremely optimistic, but we could sure use all the prayer we can get. If you are one inclined to chip in, please have a little word for Suzanne in Albuquerque who will be fighting for her life over the next x-days.
Thanks all,
HiAmp
