You could put all your questions under one post rather than creating a hundred of them, makes it easier to answer...

You do not need to bypass the factory amp, per-say, you just need to run new speaker wire to all of the speakers from your new HU.

Let me ask you this- if you found your factory amp, what are you going to do with it? You think you can just run a new set of RCA's to it? Factory amps don't have RCA inputs. They have proprietary 36-40pin connectors, and good luck figuring out what each wire does as there is no specific color coding to them. Maybe if you worked in a shop and could get your hands on a wiring diagram, but otherwise you're shit out of luck.

Well what car do you have? That would be useful information. Common places for factory amps is under the passenger/driver seat or somewhere in the trunk.

well.......its a 1999 yukon denali...

your saying i have to run wires from the headunit to all the speakers throughout the car...?

My factory amps were being a ghetto with my new HU, and i didnt feel like running new wire, so I dropped $40 and saved me a hell of a lot of time and had BB bypass em.

Yes. Speakers run off wire. If your amp is broken or unused, you need to run wire from your speakers to some power supply (IE headunit).

You should be able to get a bypass module for that vehicle.
