I am going to be helping someone hook up an amp to there BOSE stock system, I know how to run all the wires and all but I am not too familiar with line out convertors...

where can I learn some more infomation on hooking them up?? I did search...

most good ones take two channels in to them. Some of them even have a place where you can ground them. Just splice some speaker wire off of one or two of the rear speakers or the fronts (position matters not) into the LOC. Or completely remove the rears and just run those wires right into the lock and then run the speaker wire out of the amp back to the speakers.

For the bose system since it is amped you are supposed to splice into the wires before the amp... and for a remote wire goto the fuse box and find something that turns on only when the car is on... ie: power sun roof.

also you do know that bose factory radios do not produce tones lower then 65hz....

thats why bose is name no highs no lows, must be bose.......

so if you have your xover on your amp set to 80hz you will only get to use around 15 hz total....

kinda sux doesnt it. dont use bose replace the HU and you will loose your lows on your factory speakers but since your adding a sub anyways you wont need them
