Where can I buy a watt meter for my amp?

I blew up my HCCAs. I'm wondering where I can buy a watt meter that can be installed around the dash somewhere and measure over 8,000 watts. I'd like to see how many watts I'm putting to them when I get them reconed. I don't know what 5,000 watts rms sounds like to adjust the amp.

I don't think they make any watt meters that could show that much power in a dash mount. what you need to do is get a meter and a current clamp and set your gains correctly, it don't take more than 5000 watts to destroy your subs. all it takes is a fraction of that with a clipped signal

are you doing all of this to listen to good sounds or to tell your unintelligent buddies how many watts you have?

What you need to do is buy subs that can handle your amp(s) or just learn to turn it down before you break things. HCCA subs aren't big power handlers and the recone kits are expensive.

I can almost garentee you didn't blow your subs from over power... you blew them from Dirty signal/clipping... you gotta learn what clipping is

Nothing is available for real time rms meter while driving...SMD has a device that u can find the rms watts... it's $400 and again it's not something u can plug in and mount... it's a hand held meter and he sells out of all his meters all the time...its the AMM-1...reg $459...sale $399
