im going to give an 18 a try. i need 0 guage im pretty sure. i have a rockford fosgate 4awg wiring kit but idk if that can handle it and i dont wanna take the chance. is there anywhere i can buy a 0 guage wiring kit?

your wondering where to buy wire? and you want to run an 18? good luck.. sorry to be mean.. but.. for the most part.. you will need electrical upgrades.. etc etc.. and if you are asking about wire.. i can't imagine the problems to come

didnt know that. i have an mtx 1800watt monoblock amp. i was going to get 2 jl audio 12's but im going to get this 18'' ma audio sub and give it a try because im sorta on a budget now and cant go with the jl stuff till summer. its a 600 rms and i have 4 guage. would i be fine with that? if not maybe 2 guage? im probably going to run maybe 800-1000 watts at the most

4 gauge will be fine for 600w. But ma audio isn't the best around. How much are you going to pay for it?
100. instead of paying 170 each for a pair of 12's for the moment. ive heard it hits pretty hard but nothing incredible to say the least

600 rms is fine with 4 guage, buy the wire for your future setup. In any case I would get the 0guage, because you can never have too thick of a power cable. Get an amp kit that has the distribution blocks in the set, that way you can step the 0 down to 4 to run the smaller amps. I had very good luck with the kicker 0 guage I bought last year. About 100 dollars on ebay. Knu has kits as well, ranging from 55-100 dollars. either one will work well, the Kicker has 2 distro blocks in it, perfect for multi amp systems

Ya I have the exact same kit and it's perfect for smaller multi-amp setups.

In my Mazda, I was running 2 sundown 1500d's strapped at 1.5 ohms total load with the 100.2's at 4 ohm bridged each, and only got ~.2 volt drop from front to rear at full tilt. It's a good kit
