do you send money as a gift? i dont care how much people want it as a gift, i never send as gift.

ive read too many stories where people get screwed because of that.

i was wondering if anyone else refuses to send monies as gifts?

I don't use gift anymore......I do use "Other" though. Then I can show the deal and product and everything in the comments. Also by doing it as "Other" it is only a 1% fee instead of a 3% fee.

if i know the person personally, or have made deals with them in the past, or if its a small amount.

but if its someone new to me i dont take the chance.

i think ive done gift once, no problems. ive been told sending it as "money owed" works like a gift but u can do a claim. not sure if thats accurate or not though

ive gifted 10ish times so far with no problems. i just make sure the person has refrences first.

i never gift...... did it once, and felt all dirty, like seks with a paper-bag dirty...... i add the fees in if it's an issue.......lowe and behold, all my info is sent to the shipper, too. anyways, it would have to be like 1000 to make any difference..... then again, what is another 30, when you are droppin a stack anyways

This is one of the reasons I feel paypal's rules are so complicated as to render it not nearly the safe transaction authority it claims to be. If at all in doubt, read paypal's rules THOROUGHLY and take precautions that place you in as little risk as possible.
