when to recone a sub?

if i were to buy an re xxx or a dd3500 is it part of a maintnance to recone them or just when the coils go bad?

It's not a regular part of maintenence. If you use them properly and dont abuse them, hopefully you won't ever need a recone.

although recone will make it pretty again, but by time it would need a recone under regualr play without killing it, i doubt you ould find parts for it, so you might as well buy a new sub
