When do PIONEER head units clip?

Anyone with previous experience testing these things, i need to know when they clip. Some people have said around 46/62 and others i have heard say 61/62. So i am in need of a serious answer here from you guys who have tested them. I will continue to search google for info on them as well but hope someone here can answer this. Thanks

Depends on the model and if you use the bass control on them. Most are only capable of 2 volts total output.

mine is 2 volts, but at what volume do they clip at? I don't know because people keep telling me different things. I'm sure many others would like to know also.

Most of the pioneers that I have messed with that go up to 62 start to send a slipped signal between 50 and 55.

did you actually test this with a oscope or something, how did you figure this out? Amd your head unit is very similar to mine, so i'm sure they probably clip at the same volume.

i have the 8000b and it starts to clip around 55ish, i can hear it in the highs it gets distorted.... i set all my gains to 50 and listen at 45-50 then if i want to show off a little u can clip shit a little without blowing it and go up to 55MAX. i never go past 55 though

i have a 6900 and i tuned all my gear to 45 and i like it, once i get into the 50s my tweets kinda start geeking, but if i wanna show of il do 49-50 for like 30 sec, but ive never tested it, you have to get a ballin o-scope to see that stuff anyways

I set my gains at 55/62.

Most people say it starts to clip at 60.

I've confirmed it with an oscope on numerous Pioneer HU's. Set your gains on volume 61/62, they ALL clip @ full volume.

I have a DEH-4900IB, still in the box that I'm putting in my GMC Sonoma, been wondering what it'll clip at... I don't know its max volume as I haven't installed it yet.

that's exactly how mine is setup, but if they do clip at 55/62 then we could probably get more output from our speakers since we would be able to turn the gain up a little more.

I got a friend that had two JL component sets in his car and he could turn the radio all the way up and it was crystal clear. If I've heard right, should you heard clipping?
