ive heard that you shouldnt play your subs loud for the first 1-2 weeks.

Who knows? Most people don't even do it. I think just play it normally. Don't give it full power until you notice it slightly lower and louder. Then you can crank on it.

i recommend setting your gain for half the RMS of the sub for the first 20-40 hours of playtime. after that time, you can adjust your amp gain for the RMS of the woofer, or a bit more.

i dont think i will have much problem with that. i have 4 1508s hooked up to only one rf t1500

I break my subs in for about 2 minutes while I tune the amp. Then it's game on.
