it is time to get some different subs. i have narrowed it down to kicker CVX's or Alpine type r. which one would you guys choose. im looking for more SPL than anything. they will also be going into a ported box.

I'd go with the CVX. I've had comp vr's and L7's and they both were great. I'd like to try some of the new CVX's though. Polecat has said the CVX is just about the same output as an L7.
