Without external processing it looks like the DRZ is the only one that would fit your needs...

like i said i have the cd8455 eclipse now.... the styling of the cd7000 is debatable for me yet as i have not sen one. basically the same deck as the cd8455 except has 1 sub eq band and goes to 5v out instead of the 8v i have now. and has different look and dteach face. other than these things its exactly the same deck as the cd8455 eclipse.

and yes full front active... as in 7 channels 6 for the front and 1 for the sub. 2 amps in the system. 1 6 channel and a mono a/b sub amp...

the eclipse offers me all the procces i need for this setup i have now but i just hate the way it looks.... in the car it looks terrible. like a circus show in the dash sorry to anyone that likes it done mean to offend just really want a much cleaner look. or at least not all that silver

Its a bit more than that..iPod control,learning /teaching remote capabilities,OEL display,etc..

But neither will do a 4 way Active setup. So that leaves you with the DRZ.

How? Are you using an active x-over or your amp to set up the front stage. The 8455 is only 3 way active including the sub out. Like 6spd said, the Clarion is your best option for the criteria you listed.

Considering its not even available yet, I would be just a bit skeptical of that. Not like I trust Fleabay to begin with though...

yeah i saw those on ebay... he is a good seller so i assume they are legit...

i currently use a audiocontrol digital piece for proccess. iw asnt planning on using it in the new car though. i was wrong i geuss about the eclipse giving me all i needed i thought it would have in the car its in now (going to be switched to the work car) it has all i need with a 2way active setup... id like to just use the hu though... so with the controls of the eclipse and the audiocontrol i have all i need... but i geuss the clarion is the only one to offer me the full control from the deck then??

well if i have to keep the ac piece then what would be the top sq performer aside from everything else...i dont need ipod, i dont need a color screen so the cd7000 doesnt really seem like an upgrade to me....at least not from my standpoint from a cd8455. my amps accept the full 8v so i like that over the 5vnow offered, if i saty eclipse. i know i can go lower just nice to have 8v.

Yes, but you would have to have the RUX-C701 to control it.

The DRZ is the only one on your list that would really be an unpgrade from an 8455. An Alpine with the H701 would be too, of course. I'm pretty sure the 9835 works with the H701, but you'll need the C701, too. I'd be surprised if you could find a new 9835, though. At that point, you're spending as much as a DRZ.

i can't believe you are gonna change decks just over looks. also preouts shouldn't factor into your decision. your eclipse does not produce 8 volts. only when you have the volume cranked playing a 0 db signal.
