Hey I've got a 98 gmc sierra ext cab and very little room to work with. I've had several setups and not fully satisfied with any of them. I listen to alt/rock mostly with some country and almost no rap. I like sql setups. Right now I have 2 10" ID v3s non idmax style with a jbl 600.1 in a pre fab sealed box under the rear seat thats suppose to be about .8 per side. The setup sounds pretty good but it doesn't get all that loud and it takes up lots of floor sapce. I'm sure porting would help some but ID recommends like 1.4ft per sub ported and there is no way I can get that kind of room by even lifting the seat and I dont think I want to take it out yet. The box I do have is kinda crappy so I've thought about gettin a better one but then I started thinking about changing setups again. I've been looking at 4 8" assasins probably ported in a 2ft total box off the same jbl amp with the seat lifted some. This box wouldn't be quite as big as recommended but its all I can do. This way I could get some floor space back since the tens require the box to stick way out. Anyways would those 8s get louder/lower/more sq then my other setup if the installs good or would I be dissapointed again? Should I just try to get a new box for my tens? I know this kinda stuff gets asked a lot but i'm at a loss and can't decide what to do. I'm not that knowledgable about this stuff so I'd appreciate any help.

my truck sounds insane. roof flexing bass that is clean with two DD 10"s ported under the seat. these trucks are all about box design. find the right one and it will knock your socks off.

Bri what kind of truck is that? Problem wiht mine is the ****** hump makes the box so incredibly awkward shaped under the seat. tens are just about to big to fit under there. I just can't imagine 8s doing enough but I dont have enough experience to know.

2005 silverado. the seat has been lifted like half an inch. the bottom of the box is all fiberglassed to fit the hump perfectly and to get the most airspace.

Ya mines an obs so yours has a lot more room then mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
