Whats wrong with my tweeters...

My rainbow SLC tweeters have a slight hissing sound that is really noticeable during mid to low volumes (10-20 out of 40). This hissing/crackling only happens at certain frequencies. I am pretty sure this sound occurs at all volumes but in this region it really bothers me.

I am going to recalibrate the gains tomorrow but is there anything else I should check.

Would a cleaner ground help?

I am hoping my tweets aren't damaged. Please tell me they aren't. I already tuned them perfectly with a DMM and everything.
