I'm new here and trying to learn. I have had the following installed in my 2006 Infiniti G35 non Bose:
Using stock head unit
JL Audio Cleansweep
JL Audio Stealthbox
JL Audio e6450 amp
JL Audio XR650CSI for front
Boston Acoustics SX65 for rear
The installer (Tweeter) tuned the system and there just isn't very much volume let alone very much base. When I listen to various CD's, some sound ok but others ****. I tried playing with the amp controls and got it louder but I'm afraid of screwing something up! Now it is not balanced at all.
Showing my age here... but the last time I had a custom system, I had a separate EQ and I could make almost anything sound great.
With this system, I feel I have little to no control. Do I need more power? A separate EQ? I want it LOUD and clean with the option of controlling the sub remotely (found the JL RBC-1 might be an option). This is not a show car, I just want to thump when I want to thump and at other times just listen to mellow rock at moderate levels.
Any constructive assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!
