What's wrong with my computer ? HELP!!!

Hey guys,

2 months ago they put fast internet here @ home, but for the last 3 days it's been getting really slow and all kinds of windows pop up as soon as I turn it on.

Is there anything I can do to make this stop and make my computer fast again ?

Also go to Run and type "msconfig" then go to the services tab and find Messenger and turn it off. If its not there dont worry about it. Also while your there, go to the Start-up tab and uncheck anything you dont believe you need.

Some of the stuff in there are drivers that must load up in order for certain things to work, if you turn one of them off just go back and turn on the last thing you turned off and try it again.

Another thing you can do is go to My Computer, then right click on your hard drive and go to properties then to the Tools tab, then click Defragment now.

Best thing to do is to run that when you go to bed. Go in and click the button and go to sleep b/c it will take a good while depending on the size of your hard drive. That tool will take get rid of old stuff taking up space at the front of the drive and move it to the back or delete it if it is completely unusable. Basically it just organizes your hard drive. Programs will start quicker and shit like that.

Also download Peerguardian it blocks malicious things from connecting to your PC and will also help out on keeping spyware out.

you can turn a shitt tun of stuff off on msconfig that you dont need.... makes your pc way faster if you have a lower end pc...

using programs will help, but it wont get rid of everything and it will take longer
