Whats wrong with my 15" L7??

i bought the dvc 4ohm l7 from a guy off craigslist for 50 bucks. he said the tinsel leads had broken off so they were welded back up but the sub would only play in 2ohm. i hooked it up in my car and it plays, but it sounds weak and distorted. my car was on and when i turned up the volume it almost turned off. is the problem the broken wires on the sub or are my coils fried? I'll post some pics in the morning so u can see what i'm talking about.

is the speaker repairable at all, seems like l7 aren't from reading other posts on the forum.

definatly sounds like what happend tonight with my jugg, I think mines blown, i dont know about yours though
