Cavaliers were made wih no passion, quality, etc. Its jsut an appliance form getting from point A to B by people who don't care about cars and should stay that way.

Why don't people understand the concept of commuter cars? There is a huge market of people who are looking for cars that are affordable, get good gas mileage, and are just commuter cars. The Cavalier fills that bill. If you want a car with more "passion" than look at some of GM's other offerings. So because someone would drive a Cavalier means they don't care about cars? Maybe they care about affordability, gas mileage, etc.

indeed. Apparently since I gave up on my GTO and sold it and bought this practical machine that has saved me a lot of much needed money, I just don't care.

I have a cav..........

It is not the best car out there but it hasnt failed me yet.

If I had anything faster I would be dead or in prison for criminal speeding.

No, I am not going to change the body or engine. the stock apperence is what keeps my stereo safe. no rims, just dark tint and ugly headlights...

With all these dealerships going out of business, I might pick up something later down the road.

In all honesty, my first car was an 82 cavalier. Paid $500 for it because the gook owner thought it didn't run because it said "check engine" on his dash. I reset the computer and put 200k on it. I win.

Ok, so maybe ill shoot for the Monte then. But spending 2500 on a new car makes me nervous too. X2 number one there a chevy number 2 a lot of them have leaks weather it be in the trunk or in the front seat. They are very poor on there resell value and they look terrible.

If it is not a Honduh it sucks to you..........more like it if isn't a Civic or an Accord. You talk the same shit over and over again. By the way your Civic isn't anything special.

Shoot I would get a used Honda civic for that price or maybe a bit more and not worry about anything going wrong on it and just run it into the ground.

I have had plenty of foregin cars take a crap on me. More import than domestic and I have owned over 20 rides in my lifetime.

Buddy has a Civic....with a lot of miles, but has replaced just about everything in that car. My one cavalier with over 200k on it was just general up keep and maintenance. Did rust, but ran strong as fawk!

But they are Chevy. Instead of looking at a cav, look at the 2005 cobalts, my Dad drives a 2007 and they get great gas mileage.

Or, go Ford and get a Focus, lol...

Did a 144.1 on two type R's on 1200rms to them and had the electrical beefed up, but I was surprised at that number.

My Focus is finally surpassed that number, but much more power. Focus's are really hard to get loud IMO. Trunked version anyway.

If you are simply looking for a point a to point b car, get the cavalier. My wife had one before she got an Altima and the only problem she had was the wheel bearings which is not a big deal. Most of the people on here calling them a pos never owned, let alone drove one and as stated they are a commuters car.

I bought my 04 back in 05 for 9300. No major issues yet with mine. It now has 110k miles on it and is still a decent vehicle.

also to the op, if that car is only 1500 it has some issues. it should be more like 3-4000 for it

There's a reason they were ranked dead last in Consumer Reports for reliability for basically the last decade they were in production.

Had a 1997 stock Cav bought new for 13k. Sold it a few months back for $100, with 318,000 road miles. In that time it went through a water pump, alternator, and fuel pump.

I'll never drive a chevy again. My malibu's engine took a shit at 112,000 miles. Pulled the engine only to see "Made in Mexico" stamped on the side. I was going to replace it, but I decided to just sell the thing.
