Whats wrong no power

hey guys i got a 1991 mustang and i get my new pioneer deh 5900 on friday but i just got my sub and my amp kicker l7 and zx1000 so i figured id wire them up and i decided to jus hook up my old deck so i could see what the subs like but ne ways hooked it up back like it was and im almost posotibe i had all the wires hooked up write but there was ONE wire still unhooked a orange one with a black line but figured it din matter cuz don tihnk i used it beofre either! but i turned the car on and theres no power to the deck and no sound or anything so i double checked the wires and then just tried hooking it up to ground battery illumination and accesory but still nothin its a 2 year old jvc deck not sure of model number? but any idea what this would be fuses, bad connection or what cuz i checked the duse on the deck and it was fine.

im pretty sure the orange wire is suppose to be connected to the ignition turn on for the HU.

connect what 3 wires together.

The orange wire has to be connected to the wire that has power when the key is in ACC and On positions.

hmm o i just went and thought id try connecting but its too dark! so i tried turning on my lights but none of them work? like the interior lights??? so what idd i do lol! did i blow a fuse or unplug something any 1 know

i say just take it to a shop and let them fix your mistakes. edit- i'll be the first to admit, when i knew absolutely nothing about audio i tried to install my new headunit with no prior knowledge and ended up blowing some hidden inline fuses and getting nothing accomplished. i took it to best buy, they fixed it up, then i did some research and learned how to do stuff on my own without ****ing up my shit.

ya i know thats a good idea lol im just so cheap i donn wanna! but its kinda my fualt but ive done my 2 friends systems and they turned out fine did my buddys th eother day! but in my car the guy who owned it before made the wiring underneath the dash is SOOOO mixed up! but should i jus check the fuses? for now

yeah, check the fuse box first, if you dont find it your gonna have to do some searchin for those PITA inline fuses. for future reference, before you do anything electrical related in car disconnect the batt ground to be safe. i had to learn the hard way.

bah orange is illumination, it has no effect on powering your HU

dont the earlier mustangs have a common ground system???
