Whats up with you guys???

ah sorry took that the wrong way
get a 30 band eq.. you can make anything sound good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Or if im at the control's, Worse. Wouldnt something like that be more for track to track tuning?

4x10's [Oval's speakers stock in the rear deck of 78-87 g-body's.] Ill be using the hole's as port's from the trunk to the cabin.
Ill be glassing some 6.5's [Hopfully OEM's, If i ever get the cash back up.] into my rear sail panel's.

But then again, I got a deck with NO EQ, So i guess its official. No SQ for me.
SQ doesn't mean having an EQ or fancy speakers and amps.

not at all... its almost impossible to do by ear alone and have a good response on every song... esp with that many bands

but do what i did and get TrueRTA software or similar.. get a mic.. run tones/sweeps/pink-white noise.. and measure and tune the respsone yourself..

if an EQ is set right.. it will sound good on every song. period. (well as long as its a good song) but if tuned improperly can sound terrible and peaky

removing some peaks and dips can make a world of difference, and any decent speaker can be made to sound good... one of the best investments i've made in my car radio... i personally think.. now i just need a HU with 2x independent equalizers 7 bands+ and T/A

no but an EQ can help significantly.. depending on vechile and setup

a car can be a very peaky place...

and that why you run zapco and dyna? =P

No sh1t. I dont even think some of these ppl have a front stage, they probably removed it to make room for more speakers. I bet half of them dont even listen to real music, they drive around with bass tracks or test tones playing. Hey, how do you like your g1? Does it have a fuse on it or is that the g5?
i guess none of us have a front stage...

perhaps you should do some reading..we like bass, some of us more than others.

accept it.

I have given up on my younger cousin. He has RADIO power from his Pioneer HU to his FACTORY speakers but a 13w7 on a MTX 81000d! This is in a Chevy Colorado extended cab:wow:

He wired his amp with 4 gauge wire, even though he had a buttload of Knukonceptz Kolossus and he gave me the Kolossus cable:confused:

The way i look at it is, there is a shitload of useless people on here doing useless things with their useless (or, sadly, amazing) vehicles, but once you weed through that bullsh!t, there is a wealth of information on this forum regarding both SQ and SPL.

Ya just gotta learn to deal with all the bullshit that comes with a forum as large as this one.

check my sig //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
my sig is better :p

with that said even though most here are spl almost everyone says ditch the rear to get a good front stage. that comment alone says that even the basshead/knuckledraggers still like it to sound like a concert when they aren't burping their subs.

myself, a teenager, just starting to get into CA putting a sub in is probably the most easiest thing to do, putting in components just seems to complicated for me, so therefore i just upgrade my substage.
