Hello Everybody,
So, while I've been an audiophile for decades, including car stuff, I haven't really been following the car audio scene lately. But, it's time to get a new system for my new used car.
I had a Honda S2000 until recently when it got totalled. It had a Polk "MOMO" amp, which seemed fine, but was very big. It was just sort of bolted to the trunk floor with one bolt, but it's a big amp, so it took up a lot of space.
So, I got another S2000 (for those who don't know, it's a small two seater with a very small trunk).
I've noticed sort of a new "breed" of car amp that is very, very small, yet capable of decent power output. What can you guys tell me about these? Are they a new class? Or class D but new physically smaller components?
Can someone point me to a primer about them? Pros/cons, etc.
I'm looking for a three channel, somewhere in the range of 75W RMS per channel front, and 150W RMS for the sub.
Thanks everyone!
