I keep hearing stuff about there being an issue with getting the baskets patented or something, so the current product needs extra bracing or something to avoid basket failure, what does this mean?

Would it be a bad idea to buy one?

To clarify I meant I'm worried bevause they are using the old six spoke basket, due to the new one being in the process of patenting

The current 18" 6-spoke is what we use on all 18s at this time -- but the NS v.3 and upcoming TEAM motors are VERY heavy. They will require the motor to be braced to avoid breaking the frame.

We are still working on developing, tooling, and patenting our 18" frame tool. Once that is done it will handle the big drivers no problem.
